You have been told, O man, what is
good, and what the LORD requires of you: Only to do the right and to love
goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
Humility –
one of the most needed, but at the same time one of the most unknown subjects
in the lives of Christians.
1 Pet. 5:5
What is
HUMILITY? Without understanding and revelation of this subject we can’t enter
into the Kingdom of God.
1)God
had:
-saved us,
-delivered us from the kingdom of darkness,
-showed
us the way of truth in Christ Jesus
And now He
expects that our life will be grateful to Him. He expects that we will:
-do
what is right – live righteous lifestyle
-love
to do goodness – reveal compassion toward people
-walk
humbly with God - ?
The goal of
every Christian should be- to pass our
earthly life together with Jesus Christ. But without humility you can’t walk
with God.
Proud man,
even thou he could attend the church, will backslide from that way of God’s
truth. Because he will be unable to love people the way they are. God is saying
we should love people just because they are.
Pride will
show you lacks of other people for you to start criticize people. Proud man
will find temptation even in the church.
Man that has
not humility will be dissatisfied when others will be not according to his
standards.
But always
remember – people will never be perfect!!!
If you gets
offended if somebody didn’t greet you or told you something that you don’t like
– it is a revealing of your pride!!!
But the main
thing we need to understand the humility it is not something you can tell to
yourself that you have it.
Real humility is not between you and
other people.
Humility it is something that should
be between you and God and God will know about it:
1)Prov.
22:4
2)Fil.
2:8-9
Real
humility will affect God’s heart. Humility it is not about being sad and being
poor.
Real
humility is to agree with God and His will and truth for your life. And if we
are talking about walking with God – it means on a daily base agree with Him
and His will.
Humility in
God’seyes- breaking your heart before Him. This heart
makes God not indifferent to you and your life.
