Stewardship is defined as the management of the
resources God has given to us.
Stewardship was the first Commission God gave to man

Stewardship Retreat Topics:

1. Gospel of the Kingdom
Understand the Gospel that Jesus Christ came to preach, the FIVE
Principles of Good Works, of which STEWARDSHIP is one. Understand
the difference between the Gospel of Salvation (that the Classical
Church is teaching) and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (that the
Missional Church is teaching). JESUS CHRIST DID NOT COME TO PREACH
THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION, BUT THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM. The
difference between a Classical Church and a Missional Church (Principles

2. Gifts, Resources, and Potentials
Understand the FIVE forms of Grace of God (Grace of Salvation is only
one of them). Understand Grace as a gift or a resource or a potential.
Understand the billions of personal gifts God has given to EACH man.

Greetings Pastor Andriy,

Many thanks to you your wife, and all those who made this retreat possible. It was truly a life transforming event. It has opened my eyes to see what I can do when stretched to the limit. The things we learned about time management, the seed of greatness, achieving our goals. Not to mention reading a book in a few hours then finding ten lessons. These activities really push me and others to see who we are in Christ and that nothing truly is impossible for us. This retreat has not only helped me to become a better pastor, but a husband, father, and all around deliver.

Too see the people who were there and to hear how this retreat has changed them was amazing. To hear the things they discovered about themselves, and how they will improve was very encouraging. God can use anyone who is willing. Not only do we need to believe in Him, but we must also believe in ourselves. The real challenge now will be for us to maintain this level, but it is possible.

I realize that these words really fail to truly describe my experience that weekend. And I know that this was just the tip of the iceberg. I look forward to the day when we hold many of these retreats here in Canada. I know it will blow people’s minds, and they too will discover their greatness in Christ.

I want to encourage everyone who attended to and all those who taught us as well, to keep focused God has greater things in store for us and our nations.

Hi Pastor!

The retreat was the most amazing, inspiring and revealing time I have ever spent working on myself to become great. It was shocking to see how much more I was capable of but never utilized. It was awe inspiring to watch each person there who attended change and grow to be "more." From each minute to the next you could see people shift their way of thinking. I witnessed people who have walked roads most people aren't even comfortable thinking about and not only survive those roads but begin to understand their greater purpose and destiny. I watched them understand that they were more than worthy of the challenge ahead of them.

I can honestly say that after that retreat I am not the same person I was when I began it. It was difficult to have to restrain myself from my usual tendency of procrastination and socializing. I had to "keep my eye on the prize." I only started to understand that all these things that I am naturally good at were never meant for my own selfish entertainment. They were meant to help others. In fact the helping of others actually isn't as complicated as I once thought. I just simply have to reach out to other people outside of my normal sphere.

Thank you Pastor to you and your family for making the sacrifice of having us there. It was the most wonderful experience in my life thus far and I look forward to being part of your team in knocking the world off of it's axis.

Also please tell my friends from the rehab centre that I miss them very much. If it is at all possible I would like to ship the guys some filipino food via puralator or fedex so that they can sample my cooking since I was so impressed with theirs.

Today I am 44 Magnum fully loaded to fight against the devil

My name is Ernesto Vigil and today I turned 44 years old. I do not feel 44 years old, but it is a fact.

I’ve been addicted to drugs about 28 years, many times in jail and once to prison.

But, by God’s grace today I am who I am. Only 3% of people addicted to crack cocaine ever recover, by God’s power I am in my right mind today.

I am NOT a drug addict, I am a college student, I am a loving son to my mom, I am a God’s Embassy church member, I am a leader and many other good things that God has blessed me with in the last 3 years.

Today I successfully passed my test in my college course and received the highest grade in the class – with a passing grade being a 410 I received a 640. Which is a truly great score.

But the story started a little bit earlier …

This month, June 2010 I attended a retreat with God’s Embassy church in Tacoma. And all the studying we did in the 3 days retreat: reading 1 book a day, completing 3 assignments a day, following all the rules etc, really helped me push myself.

I found out that we need to acquire all the knowledge that we can in order to be successful with God, with our family and with people in the world.

I plan to get all the knowledge that I possibly can to be the most successful man that I can be to fulfill my entire purpose, which God has called me to do.

Now, I am 44 Magnum fully loaded to fight against the devil and ready to go.
I want to encourage everyone to attend these retreats, because pushing ourselves is the only way we are going to breakthrough with God and our personal lives.

Life Story by Ernesto: Never Give Up

I was born in Los Angeles, California where all the gangs originated. Fighting was an everyday common thing. We were taught not to back down to anyone. My older brother had joined the most dangerous gang from Lynnwood, while my parents fearing that two other sons would join also, we moved to N.W. Tacoma, Washington. This is when we saw snow for the first time; and seeing beautiful green trees brought us a new and happy way of life, life without helicopters, gun-shots and murders – so we thought.

My happy childhood took a drastic change when at the age thirteen, a thirty-three year old lady seduced me. She was a friend of my mom. And when my mom is gone to work, she would also have men come over for pleasure. At the very young age I learned quickly what sex, money, drugs and rock and roll was all about, therefore, I had no drive to go to college. Every party that I went to – drugs, sex, money were there. Even though, no education – I received a state job that paid good money for that time being. I was a mail-carrier for a region Fife for twelve years and I was a bouncer at Mexican Dance on weekends. Anything I wanted – I had. I got bored with life. Searching for happiness, led me to a friend who introduced crack cocaine to me which took me on a twelve year express lane. I ended up in prison, had a heart attack and then homeless. I was deceived by such happiness. Then one day I met a lady who had barely spoken any English – she introduced me to Jesus and had made a huge difference in my life. Said all that – I AM A FREE MAN!!! Now I help people like myself, those who have been betrayed, broken-hearted, in denial, in pain, deceived, and in need of a Savior. My eyes are opened now for the greater good. 1. Read the book "Churchshift” by Pastor Sunday Adelaja and answer the following questions in writing.

a) Write down 10-20 lessons you learnt from the book (NOTE: A lesson – may not necessarily be one that is unfamiliar to you, but it is one you do not currently apply in your life).

b) Prove that this is a lesson for you (use situations from your life to show that you have not applied these lessons before).

c) How will you apply this lesson from now on? What will you do? (using the same examples from your life, write down how you are going to act in those situations from now on)

Retreat instructions

These instructions have been put together to help you prepare for the retreat in the best possible way. Please read through carefully and follow the guidelines.

General information:

The following retreat will be held June 24-June 26, 2010
Registration is on 23rd of June from 4 to 8 p.m. On arrival you will have to register and pay for your board and lodging. After registration you will be given a badge and be told what group you will be in for the practical workshops. (Please return your badge on the final day)
The retreat will start at 9 p.m. on the day of arrival.

Departure is on the evening of the 26th of June. But we strongly recommend you to stay for God’s Embassy church service, June 27^th @ 11am.

What to expect…

The classes start the NIGHT BEFORE the first day’s session. Homework will be set and be expected to be completed that night.
The training schedule is rigorous - you will be given plenty of homework and thus expect to have very little sleep. So WE ADVICE YOU TO REST WELL BEFORE THE TRAINING. Perhaps you may consider changing your activities the week before the training, to make sure you are fresh and ready to go!

After each teaching; morning and evening, homework is set to be done BEFORE the next teaching. At the end of the morning’s teaching; homework is required to be completed and submitted before the deadline which is 8:00pm on the day. After the evening’s teaching, homework is required to be completed and submitted before the deadline which is 8:30am the following morning. There will also be homework given at some of the workshops. Homework MUST be submitted by the deadline and is accepted either in hand written or in electronic format.
Every day you will be expected to read one book during the break &‘self-training’ time.

2 day – "Those, who are Christ’s”

Your Attitude Toward Church Will Help To Preserve God’s Grace In Your Life

At the evening service parishioners of the Embassy of God Church heard a strong warning that God’s grace could be lost! Therefore each of us must make every effort to preserve it!

The key passage in pastor Sunday’s sermon was the message of Hebrews 12:15-18, 22.

"See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no "root of bitterness" springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled”, (verse 15)

The Apostle Paul warned the church members not be defiled and lose God’s grace. Many of us know people who once went to church, rejoiced of personal repentance, lived pure life, then decided to "relax ..." and gradually lost their grace! God forbid!

That evening Pastor Sunday warned the church to be careful, to watch themselves, to walk with trembling before God, keep God’s grace and appreciate it, not forgetting that you can lose everything if you do not keep awake!

One cannot undervalue the role of God’s Church - the only structure that Jesus created. And if we undervalue the church role (get used to her, take her as an ordinary everyday thing, visit the services as usual) – then we lose something very important! Attending the services, we should aim ourselves at not meeting people or hearing the anointed of God, but at meeting with God Himself! Only our thirst and the state of our hearts determine what we receive in each service. After all, everybody listens the same message, but individuals hear and receive differently! Someone may be irritated with the sound of the music, while another with the singing. At the same time another man could be so dissolved in God’s presence that he could not even move because of the glory of God! At church services we are all in one place, but we can be in different dimensions, depending on the level of our thirst and, most importantly, how we honor God and walk with trembling before Him!

Pastor Sunday called members of the church to "inspire" themselves when intending to visit any church service. Inspire yourself to be focused on God and run to meet Him. This is not the time for fuss: mobile phone’s calls, talking during the service - it is time to give your heart to Jesus!

"Usually we protect what is special to us. Beware of people who want to steal the grace of God from you! KEEP FIGHTING FOR YOUR SALVATION!" - Pastor Sunday appealed to the church of God.

At the service pastor Sunday drew church attention to two important things:

Firstly, under what circumstances a person may be deprived of God’s grace:
- If one neglects the role of the church;
- If one has inner "root of bitterness" (temptation etc);
- If one deliberately rejects his "birthright", that is to exchange God’s grace for temporary pleasures.

Secondly, the correct understanding and attitude toward Church. Church is:
- a place of exalting, where one rises above the circumstances and difficulties (Isaiah 2:1-3);
- a holy City of the living God, a meeting place with the living God (Hebrews 12:22);
- Heavenly Jerusalem.
At the end of the service Pastor Sunday urged members of the church to repent before God for the wrong attitude towards the Church of God. Also he reminded that anyone who considers himself a member of the Embassy of God Church, must go to the three-day retreat with the Lord monthly!

"The best thing I can do for you is to "tie" you to God through your personal retreats " - Pastor Sunday said in conclusion.

Dear brothers and sisters! After all we have heard, let us be more trembling before the Lord and His holy presence! Let us not change our birthright for anything else! Let us love the Lord and honor Him so much that it will become evident to Him!

Your DESIRES determines WHAT YOU WANT TO HAVE, but your ACTIONS determine WHO YOU ARE!

Trust is about walking not by sight, but by faith

As a child of God, you can achieve anything, but if you HAVE NO LOVE, everything achieved profits nothing

Love God and love others and you’ll have good life

True love of God thinks no evil about even though people might be evil

True God’s love hopes the best even about those who are not worthy to have your hope

Always enter in God’s presence with expectation

People will tell you what you can’t do, but your faith really determines what you’ll have

Witness the facts, but live by God’s truth

Hope for changes of your life, which is not proved by your actions, will not work

Faith in your life should be a Verb, but not Noun
