Every Christian
have heard about LOVE at least once. God’s LOVE is something that all of us need
and desire.
But, our
understanding of LOVE could be different from what God has determined LOVE to
be.
These verses
has been written for us – Christians, to have right understanding of LOVE.
Speaking in other tongues – as a spiritual gift of God – is not
LOVE
Gift of prophecy – even though we might know the
secrets and help others– is not LOVE
Faith – even though it is so strong that
moves even mountains and will help others – is not LOVE
Charity (help) – even though it is needed by many
people and we help them – is not LOVE
All of
these, even though it might be great and excited, are not determined by God as
LOVE.
And because
of it – because it is not LOVE – God is saying that all these are NOTHING
without LOVE.
This is just
an introduction to the subject that we are going to study for a certain period
of time – LOVE.
Pursue God’s love …
Only His
understanding of LOVE will operate, work and bring results.
We are going
to study the subject of God’s LOVE for that LOVE to shine through us.
LOVE – it is
the substance of God, His very nature – 1
John 4:16
He never
fails in His LOVE – if God will stop love even for 1 second He will stop to be
LOVE and God.
So, God
never stops to be LOVE – He is very nature of LOVE.
Sometimes His love could be excited and understandable,
and sometimes strange and even painful.
We need to
know that any expression of His LOVE is for better and God is doing what He has
to do to us.
If we will be open toward God’s LOVE,
even though it might be painful in the beginning, later that LOVE will triumph
in us and then we will triumph in that LOVE.
It doesn’t matter
what we are doing for God, for others, for ourselves - if we do anything
outside of principles of His LOVE – it is void, useless and fruitless.
We need to
bring our lives in accordance with His LOVE, with the principles of His LOVE.
We need to work
out principles of LOVE within our lives – our hearts and our mindsets.
Knowledge
about God’s LOVE will not be enough to fully operate with God and for God.
We need to
work out qualities of God’s LOVE within our lives; we need automatically
operate in His LOVE anywhere we go and whatever we do.
How to do this?
1)Start to study about principles of
God’s LOVE.
2)Meditate on studied things – critically
check yourself, are you doing according every principle of His LOVE in your
regular life, despite of causes.
3)Make decisions what should be your
reaction according to principles of God’s love.
4)Imagine yourself as if you are
already experiencing situations when your LOVE is going to be tested –
everything will be tested.
5)Practice your reaction in your
imagination till you will start see and feel that your reaction will be
according to God’s LOVE as you’ll face in real life with the challenges of
LOVE.
6)Ask for God’s grace to help you when
you’ll face in reality with LOVE challenges.
