Why God calls Himself this way? Is there any reason for
this? Why did Moses fell down on his knees, when he heard His name?
If will read the story of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – we can
find out that their stories started as a story of 1 family of Abraham and has
finished as a story of a nation of Israel.
Another words, it is a story of becoming a whole nation.
Why is it important for us? It is an example of how our
lives should be build with God.
And we need to take lessons out of Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob’s lives that we will follow to make our lives whole and complete before
God.
Lives of patriarchs are the lives that pleased God …
So,
Abraham - Gen.
17:1-5 – Life of calling. God’s calling
means – separation yourself from everything for God – from the world, from your
own desires, from sin etc. Total commitment to God.
Isaac – Gen.
26:2-5 – Life of promise. God’s promise
means – you need to accept His will for your whole life, even though you have
your own ideas of your life. I will not stop till I will find His will for my
life.
Jacob – Gen
35:1-2 – Life of obedience. God’s
obedience means – you’ll need to stay in His promises even when you don’t
see them fulfilled yet.
Obedience is better than all the sacrifices that we make for
Him!!!
So, that’s the way how our lives with God should be build –
Separation, Accepting His will, Obedience.
These are 3 major components of a Christian life!!!
If you will live your life this way – your life will please
God and as result He will make your life whole and complete.
How to get there?
1)Forget
about your life circumstances and remind yourself that you are called to be in
His child.
2)Find
all His promises and requirements of those promises and start to live life of
His promises.
