How do you hear the Word of God?

It is very sad to say, but I think that it happens all over the world, that real reasons why people come to the church are different that pastor think.

We have asked our people this question and here are the results:

-          For God to solve their problems – 50%

-          To find rest from their daily busyness

-          To raise their Self-estimation

-          They want to become successful people

-          Find their life purpose

-          Find strength

-          To know God – 20%

The main goal of God’s Embassy church – to reveal God to people, for people to know Him and find close relationship with God.

All of our sermons will be focused on 3 main goals:

1)      To reveal God to others (by personal example, sermons, God’s miracles etc.)

2)      To create God’s image in you

3)      To help you to reveal God through you – it means to show His character through your life.

When we come to the church we listen the word of God either to enjoy or to be changed. Make a decision: starting from today to come in the covenant with yourself – to listen the word of God and to implement it as soon you hear it, to change yourself. Make a decision – to hear the word of God and receive it for your own changes.

A man who makes this decision – should do next – every word that he hears, he implements to his life, another words works with his life until the word of God will become his mindset, his understanding, his life!!!

How to do this?

Whenever you hear the word of God you need to write it down, how to implement it or to write down your thoughts about this word – certain steps how to fulfill that word – how to live according to this word. Think what steps do you need to take to make this word to be alive in your live.

We are making notes to read these notes later and work on yourself for this word to make certain changes within us.

Your notes should include:

1)      The word of God (verses or revelation from pastor).

2)      Meaning of this word.

3)      Your conclusionswhat should you do to make this word alive.

We hear the word of God not to enjoy, but to be changed.

Hardest work to do and the biggest challenge to us – changes in yourself.

Nobody wants to change himself all the time. We need to be changed, otherwise we are dying. The law of changes works even without our participation. You can be changed into wrong direction.

Why do we need to be changed? To be according to His image. God gives us His word for changes.

We listen the word of God to be changed. There are no reasons for you to go to the church if the sermon that you listen is not changing you. There will no profit for you from the sermon if you’ll not meditate and think about the essence of the sermon, if you will not work on yourself after that sermon and change your life.

Even if you know the word of God, until you have implement this word in your life and change yourself according to this word – it is the same if you didn’t hear this sermon at all. You need to listen the word of God to make it your flesh, to be changed by means of knowledge, understanding, meditating and transformation into a new person according to Jesus Christ.

The word of God should change you. You need to listen the word of God to be changed. When you go to the church – pray for the pastor for God to speak to you through him and for you to be ready to be changed. People who seek changes, they are not offending, but opposite – they break down their hearts and go forth to seek the word of God to be changed according to that word.

Take a decision for every word of God to bring the fruit in your life. If the word is not making changes in your life – what’s the point for you to listen that word?

Read and think about next passages:

Mark 4; Mattew 13:1-5

Whenever you listen the word of God ask yourself a question: What do I need to change within me this time?
