Grieve not the Holy Spirit.

Ef. 4:17-32, 5:1-20

It is a long passage, but this passage could rescue us from a destruction of devil’s work – John 10:10!!!

Grieve not the Holy Spirit … Simple words, but behind these words is the great and blessed life of a Christian. Life, that is full of blessings and challenges, temptations and God’s answers. Life that will reflect God’s glory and His mighty hand on us.

But there is one condition of such life – grieve not the Holy spirit!!!

Why is it important to don’t grieve the Holy Spirit? – Bcs, He is a seal of our redemption – when we grieve Him we are loosing redemption.

How can we grieve the Holy Spirit?

Remember the moment of your redemption –when you just realized that Jesus Christ has personally died for you and forgave you. What was filling your heart at that moment? What did you feel at that moment? What decisions did you make at that moment? What did you remove at that moment out of your life?

If today your life has become different from that day or moment – you are at the risk of loosing your redemption …

Example:

1)      You offended toward anyone – how does the Holy Spirit within you feel himself?

2)      You can’t welcome somebody – how does the Holy Spirit within you feel himself?

3)      You commit any sin - how does the Holy Spirit within you feel himself?

4)      You hate somebody - how does the Holy Spirit within you feel himself?

Holy Spirit is very sensitive – you think you are sensitive – He is much more sensitive then you are.

Our actions that is not according to His truth (our life itself) – that what causes Holy Spirit to be grieved …

Our actions determine our believes! It doesn’t matter what we believe – how we act – that what determines our real believes. And that real believes determines what the Holy Spirit within you feels …

You and Holy Spirit should become one common!!!

What you do – that what affect Holy Spirit. If you do something that is not right – Holy Spirit will let you know about it, by convicting you.

Sometimes we can make excuses to ourselves saying – I didn’t make anything wrong, bcs I think I am right, pleasing yourself at that moment – remember Matt. 5:27-28

If you just think about evil – something that doesn’t please Holy Spirit – you already do wrong and grieve Holy Spirit.
